For the past two years, the ELL Leadership Students in the district have collaborated in helping out in the Live the Dream Expo. Mr. Caburian, the Leadership teacher at the time, connected with Ms. Sandy Brown, the Special Education Transition Specialist, in supporting families of students with disabilities by having our ESL students who spoke two languages to help out by translating for families that needed the assistance. Aside from translating, the students also helped out as ushers, guides, and even helpers for the vendors of the event. In the past, the event took place in our own Curtis Culwell Center in Garland. This year though, our leaders traveled to Allen, Texas in order to continue the legacy of helping and supporting.

That was an awesome day and its was so much fun and Mr. Brusner is so funny he my Coffey buddy :)
